@paulg@aravind@grok Hayek's work will help clarify that this is the incorrect (Left vs Right) way to look at the Nazis. It is classical Liberalism (political and economic freedom) Vs authoritarianism (Communists/Socialists or Nazis/Fascists).
Luxury Apartments Are Bringing Rent Down in Some Big Cities
“New building openings are bringing rents down as wealthy tenants trade up, forcing landlords to drop prices for older apartments.” @business
@harshmadhusudan Advaita as in the Bhagavad Gita is essentially monotheistic- Vivek says he believes in Advaita. Of course there are other views/branches in Hinduism.
@bobbyfijan@moseskagan Mortgage rates have a closer correlation with 10 year Treasury yields and not the Fed Funds rate. With inflation above target, you could see 10 year yields rise (and mortgage rates) if the Fed cuts now.
@mairal Kind of a BS article- there is the required reference to caste that appears in such instances and none of the real concerns that have been raised about the candidate.
It's painful to talk negatively about one's own country, even if it means sharing data. Someone sent this to me on Twitter. See for yourself. We are the 5th largest economy and would become the 3rd largest in next 5 years.
Compare ourselves even with 10th largest economy. How abysmal our percapita is. How far we've to go to be on par with even say a Brazil or China.
The simplest way to free TTD temples or temples at large from government control is to have equality amongst Hindus. That will allow the community to focus on what is important. For example, avoiding beef in prasad - which is an outrageous and almost certainly deliberate insult.

Look at this, where reformists lost an internal battle in the last round: "Tirupati temple trust is training SC/ST priests, but won’t let them serve in its own temples"
The reason given is: “TTD temples are governed by the science of rituals called agama sastras and each temple has got its own agama and its own hereditary priest system which we still follow".
By the way, that is not fully true - they have had both hereditary and non-hereditary priests (https://t.co/9j4KVD4Elr), but what is being effectively said is that even the non-hereditary priests cannot come from so-called "lower" Hindu birth even if they are fully qualified.
The simple reality is that caste discrimination is what prevents "freeing" of temples. In rural areas, even entry is at stake. In many places, even cooks etc have caste requirements. Now people of all births are doing whatever job they want, but somehow that hypocrisy is okay.
We need fiduciary trustees from all caste backgrounds to avoid all this, at least for the larger temples, but there is no consensus on this because the actual intent of some (not all) activists on this issue is something else.
If we do not address this issue head on, there will be no forward movement. In fact, Jagan was one of the biggest supporters of the hereditary system in AP temples - one can very well guess about his intentions as well.
Seems weird that Mexico is down so much on the election result. I'd followed the polls and this outcome seemed very clear. Sheinbaum won by a wide margin - no other outcome was going to happen today.
Same political party as last time, who seemed very moderate/reasonable.
Hell, she even drove Mexico City's homicide rate down a lot, in contrast to American leftist political leaders.
