Three years since the first flight of Starship, the next generation is here. New ship. New booster. New engines. New pad and new test site. SpaceX engineers are working to solve one of the most difficult engineering challenges in history: developing a fully, rapidly reusable rocket
Another milestone in a remarkable career: 1,000 flights!
After 38 years with NASA Armstrong, aerial photographer Carla Thomas completed her 1,000th flight. Carla has captured NASA history from the sky aboard more than 20 different high-performance and science aircraft.
Airborne assets for Artemis II’s return to Earth are getting into position. The unique NT-43A and the WB-57 are both present—as they were for launch.

Welcome home Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy! 🫶
The Artemis II astronauts have splashed down at 8:07pm ET (0007 UTC April 11), bringing their historic 10-day mission around the Moon to an end.
Desde la Estación Espacial Internacional llega un saludo a #FIDAE2026
Un mensaje que refuerza al espacio como un ámbito de cooperación global y el rol de Chile en el desarrollo tecnológico y aeroespacial.
@Fahadnaimb I'd presume that the chemicals that (when applied voltage) change the dimming of the 787's window, get degraded over time, under UV exposure and cycles of dimming. I've seen this effect on other 787s from different airlines, mainly in the americas, so should be a deferrable issue
I photographed this passenger jet from the ISS on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 18:26 UTC over the central Mediterranean.
Can any aviation uber-geeks out there identify this flight?
Congratulations to the entire SpaceX team for completing 165 Falcon launches and five Starship flight tests this year, all continuing to help pave the way to making life multiplanetary!
And that’s (almost) a wrap on Day One.
Today, President Trump signed a historic commitment to American leadership in space and @NASA along with our commercial and international partners will deliver. 🇺🇸🌖
The greatest adventure continues. 🚀
Congratulations to @rookisaacman on becoming NASA’s new administrator. He’s the first person in the role who has EVA experience.
Also the first with a type rating In a MiG 29.
But all that stuff is easy compared to the task ahead and I wish him clear skies and calm winds.
Congratulations to the SpaceX team on completing 500 (!!!!) missions with flight-proven rocket boosters. You’ve made the impossible possible with reusable rockets, paving the way to land huge amounts of cargo and lots of people to establish permanent human presence on the Moon and beyond with Starship!
