Ghana’s Nuclear Power Programme has reached Phase 2 (of 3) per IAEA guidelines. Site acquisition is 60% complete, and Cabinet has approved the formation of a National Owner/Operator company. A draft bill is under stakeholder review, and vendor acquisition for the first plant is ongoing.

Today is a very special day for me. My Mummy has now officially gotten her PhD from Mechanical Engineering, UNN. Her research topic is Energy Economics of Solar Photovoltaic Power Deployment in Nigeria.

She is the first woman to get a PhD in Mechanical Engineering UNN.

She is also the first female engineer in UNN 41 years ago.

This PhD journey was also the longest ever. It took her 13 years of persistence to achieve this. Her research topics were changed 3 times in the process.

I offered her to do it in MIT, Stanford etc especially when the frustrations were much but she declined and insisted on UNN.

God saw her through 🙏

This is one of the best days in my life!
