Growing roles for the NlpC/p60 clade of the Papain-like fold in lipid biochemistry. Nice collaboration with Ethel (@EthelBS) and Robson's (@robfsouza) labs. @ggnicastro
Excited to share our latest manuscript in which we analyzed 10,000 Salmonella genomes, identifying 128 T6SS effectors, including 45 new toxin domains (STox). We also characterized STox15, a lipid-targeting NlpC/P60 member.

Exciting news🤩- we have an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Infection Biology & Immunology in our Institute @epflSV@EPFL_en
Please spread the word & encourage outstanding postdocs, who are ready to start their own labs, to apply. THX 🤓

We will soon have a 3-year open position for an engineer, funded by the@FRM_officiel, to develop a multidisciplinary approach with the aim to understand the architecture and the mechanism of action of a bacterial secretion system.
It's time to write a minireview! Sharing a new idea? Synthesize data and suggest new research directions? You wrote a fantastic intro to your thesis? All great topics for a minireview. Check out my editorial:

1/42 New preprint: turns out MuLTEE is not only the longest running multicellularity evolution experiment (1000 days and counting), but also the longest running polyploidy evolution experiment! It reveals how whole-genome duplication (WGD) arises and impacts long-term evolution.
