Lots of chatter about the state and federal filings last week but I haven’t seen any coverage of the local races here in Story County. The filing period closed 27 min ago, and the official candidate list shows there aren’t any contested primaries on either side of the aisle.

Surprisingly, R’s have only 1 person running for the 2 supervisor seats on this year’s ballot. Although the board is now 3-0 D-R, a R held one of the seats as recently as 2019. @StoryCountyGOP can still nominate a 2nd candidate at county convention but not prioritizing this race.
