@AdoptionsUk I see no reason to breed any animal for personal gain, when so many are being supported by charities while waiting for a loving home, and vets are being asked to put down animals just because their owners haven't got time for them anymore.

A long shot but can anyone decipher the note made in this burial record? I can see Impregnable, Frigate and Algiers, but not the rest of it. It relates to my 3xGreat-grandfather who joined the Royal Navy in the late 1700's.

Completely agree. Unless you work in, or require Social Care services, it's unlikely you know just how very difficult things have become.

Social care is overlooked by government, under-resourced & lacks an institutional identity. It’s an increasingly challenging profession to work in with an underinvested workforce. Yet it delivers social inclusion to the most marginalised. Time for recognition, investment & reform

@RichardKSense I completely agree with you. To the extent that certain politically affiliated organisations and institutions, that lean towards one end of the political spectrum, should have their charitable status removed.

Social care workers shouldn’t need to strike to be taken seriously by government. The priority is recruitment and retention of staff yet government cuts investment in the workforce. Ultimately this impacts on disabled people who rely on care and support. https://t.co/k3t7r5wrHu
