VE Day 80
What a special week this has been in the company of a wonderful gentleman. A poignant reminder of why we must continue to remember and keep the stories alive for future generations.
Ken Cooke, Green Howards was able to return to Crepon to see his Regiment’s memorial and the names of those who did not return. After a pause of reflection and silence we then went to the Green Howards Pub where he was welcomed and thanked with open arms by the local residents.

Fantastic to see Ken Cooke on the ground in Normandy and telling his incredible story in such a modest way, as always. Remembrance is at the heart of his message and rightly so.
