Adding to this, it is important to bear the following in mind:

When this plant was built, virtually every part of it was built in Britain. Concrete to screws and bolts; the computers, motors, and electronics; the turbines, and steel for the reactor core and pressurisers. Everything. We imported uranium, but enriched it and formed the fuel ourselves.

Could we do this today? No. And there lies the problem.
