#Ennoregasleak: Shops in Ennore shut down as a mark of protest against govt's technical committee report. The 33 fishing village leaders and locals have been protesting for more than 40 days since the gas leak on Dec 26, 2023. They demand permanent closure of the fertiliser factory Coromandel International Limited. The technical committee report asks @Tnpcbofficial to levy Rs5.92 crore as environmental compensation and take legal action, apart from retrofitting the sub-sea pipeline that leaked ammonia.
