Just one week but it did not take a lot of production to score a point last week.

Was asked thoughts on why week 1 scoring was up so much vs prior week 1s and just in general. Did a little digging and the one metric that stood out above the rest by far was just the red zone TD conversion rate.

Offenses converted red zone opps into TDs at a ridiculous 67% rate which compares to the weekly league avg of 58% over the last 5 seasons.

May not sound like much but that is essentially worth ~4 ppg. That 67% rate ranks 2nd highest among the 90 prior weeks, only behind 67.9% in week 15 last year.

Not a surprise but in each of the other top 5 RZ TD rate weeks, the conversion rates dropped right back near baseline rates and there were two more unders than overs in those following weeks overall. Scoring dropped by an avg of 2.4 ppg from the prior week

They include claims that he suffered a minor illness to experiencing a stroke worsened by by failure to treat early. Some wild claims say rival group armies are mobilizing for civil war. No confirmation but Treasury Sec Bessent is meeting with Chinese counterparts today and we’ll see if the summit for Sept. 24 is still on

Breaking: the big tax bill with a provision to repeal the 90% cap on gambling losses was just overwhelmingly voted through, with bipartisan support, to the House Rules Committee. It’s a technical step before it goes to the House floor for a full vote.

Losing Tonga over $400K TCV is nuts. He was terrific for them.

I have heard the emnity between Jonathan and Bill was off the charts but Bill had enough power to do what he wanted personnel wise.

My source on Meyers is close to the scene and has been correct on a ton of stuff. But I have a feeling you could say the same. Maybe the truth will come out in the autobiography that Bill isn’t currently planning but will need to write to pay for Jordon’s palimony settlement.

@DurbanP24 @potatokmish With the exception of Brady Kraft did not influence personnel decisions. But they were philosophically aligned when it came to not retaining players for big $$. But you are correct that it was effectively a JuJu for Meyers switch.
