@aalbxg9@troopzafc It’s not because they are all only allowed to use 7.5MJ per lap, they can harvest as much as they want but it’s pointless. Look at turn 1, 4 or 7 & 8 and tell me lake braking doesn’t work for Hamilton.
@TomBraamhaar@BernabeuNights So you think if they swapped engines max would still be on pole by 3 tenths. How delusional are you people 😭 it’s so clear in the data that Ferrari lose nearly half a second a lap just on the straights.
@Matt_Lecointe@ife_ifedolapo@FormulaPace Well it’s definitely not optimal to use too much deployment in the first 2 sectors when the long back straight is in sector 3 put it that way. Apparently he was 15kph down on Leclerc on the back straight and similar speed to Charles on other straights throughout the lap.
@GenesisCOffishl Pretty sure he accidentally flicked it back on during his start, but either way, accidentally pressing a button on your steering isn’t a ‘driving error’ and doesn’t mean he drove terribly all weekend. Just extremely unlucky it had such drastic consequences.
@BAF2254@PowerUnit69@GazzettaFerrari@Auto_Racer_it Except for the fact that if Hamilton pits he comes out behind Verstappen, Horner and Wheatley don’t beg Masi for one lap of racing, and the race never restarts as per the rules. Hamilton would’ve lost whether he pitted or not.
@baxamaty@ElPredestinato It’s not though. They all queue at the end of the pit lane, the engineer counts the gap to the car ahead at pit exit then it’s their job to manage. The engineer will then tell them the gap to the car ahead just before they start their lap. The car behind is irrelevant to them.
@baxamaty@ElPredestinato He had the same opportunity Hamilton had to manage the optimal gap to the car ahead at Monza. Today Hamilton had a 30 second gap to the next car, so had no chance of a tow, and was left in no man’s land. It’s not comparable.
@TrackSimsF1 So Lewis lost 0.1s on the straight from turn 2 to turn 3 and 0.33s from turn 16 to the finish line, totalling 0.43, even after getting a better exit out of both corners 😭
@baxamaty@ElPredestinato And Charles was right behind another car getting a good tow. Charles has never been left without a tow on a Q3 lap at a power track
