@EmilyAYoung1 Ha, I was talking about this exact thing with a coworker yesterday! So many systems that were engineered without accounting for the unthinkably large scale they're used at now.
@lost_in_tech In the office everyone keeps getting static electricity shocks, and every time somebody gets shocked all monitors do this. It's pretty funny
@lost_in_tech Ha the only time it's (kind of) a limitation for me is my favorite filament, PET-CF. It prints fine at 300 but it would like to be sliiiightly higher, like 310 or 320. It's still plenty strong at 300 though, so I don't sweat on it lol
@RaspyRacoon@lost_in_tech The A1 is a cheaper built printer, so it's cheaper.
But yeah people see the same type of printer for less and immediately assume it's a better deal. There's a reason the more expensive option exists though!
@madeinaspergia@FreeCADNews@lost_in_tech If it was good I'd jump ship in an instant lol
This isn't to say that it will never be good, I wish them the best and am grateful for all the work they put into it.
@Andreas95343116@ElGeFe@lost_in_tech That's true, but if you want to learn cad I always point to fusion.
If the free version disappears you still know how to operate a serious cad software, and only need to get used to a new interface. In the meantime, fusion is quite good to start and to be an advanced user.
