🔶بعدازظهر روز چهارشنبه، صدای گریه‌ای که از آب‌های دریای کابل به گوش می‌رسید، یک رهگذر را متوقف کرد؛ صدایی که به نجات نوزادی انجامید که در داخل یک خریطه پلاستیکی، نزدیک پل سرخ رها شده بود.

Journalism is not a crime. The arbitrary detention of media workers is a direct assault on freedom of expression, human dignity, and the public’s right to access truth.

We urge all relevant national and international authorities to use every diplomatic, legal, and humanitarian channel available to secure their immediate and unconditional release.

Silence in the face of injustice only emboldens repression. The world must act now.

🚨 URGENT ACTION ALERT: Hamid Farhadi, a journalist working with an independent newspaper operating in exile, was arrested by members of the Taliban Ministry of Interior on 3 September 2024. He was sentenced to two years in prison on 19 September, without any access to legal representation. The court accused him of spreading propaganda through his journalistic reports about the situation of women and girls in the country. On 28 March 2025, without explanation or prior notice, Farhadi was transferred from Pol- Charkhi Prison to the notorious Bagram Prison. Hamid Farhadi must be immediately and unconditionally released as he is detained solely for the peaceful exercise of his human rights.
