i think long-term stress changes people quietly. you become less expressive, less excited, more tired, more detached, until one day you barely recognize the version of yourself that existed before survival mode.
If you can’t find the right words to express the feelings in your heart or the thoughts in your head, just find the right songs and sing the lyrics instead.
Someone said “Sometimes you just got to lay in your bed, stare at the ceiling, and talk to God about everything. Tell him that life feels heavy and tell him that you trust him even though nothing makes sense right now.”
Along the way somebody was gracious enough to take a chance on you because you had the right attitude even if you didn't have the skills to match. It's only right you extend the same grace to someone else.
“I’m as human as anyone. I love, I get scared. I wake up every morning and despite not knowing what to do, l put one foot in front of the other and I try to make the best choices I can. I screw up all the time, but that is being human. And that’s my greatest strength.” -#Superman
It's hard to know where our focus should be when our hearts are pulling us in so many different directions. It's good to remind ourselves to stop and see the truth, that all we have is right now.
