Yesterday, United States Attorney Michael DiGiacomo from the Western District of New York awarded #FBI Buffalo Supervisory Special Agent Randall Garver with the Hometown Hero Award for his exceptional efforts to protect children and his dedicated service to the community. The Hometown Hero award commemorates the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States and honors the ideals of Liberty, Service, and Civic Responsibility.
SSA Garver has been assigned to the FBI Buffalo Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force for over 11 years and has tirelessly led or played a major role in hundreds of investigations that resulted in the identification and prosecution of offenders who have exploited children.
Congratulations to SSA Garver for this well-earned honor.

We face sustained campaigns from cybercriminal and nation-state actors who use cyber operations to steal data, disrupt services, and pre-position for future conflict. Alvin Karpis, aka "Public Enemy Number One." Karpis led a life of crime, but as the brains of the
Barker/Karpis Gang, he remained elusive to law enforcement until April 1936, when word came
that "Old Creepy" was in New Orleans. Hoover flew overnight to join the raid team, and they
sketched out an arrest plan on a chalkboard. Once in custody, Hoover escorted Karpis to
