Overwhelming grief at the funeral of two young men killed earlier this week in an Israeli strike on Tyre, southern Lebanon

The fathers of Mohammad & Ousama had to be carried away from their coffins at one point because the grief was physically too much to bear

The victims were civilians who stayed on in their neighbourhood to take of their homes, they spent their time feeding locals dogs and cats according to their friends

Palestinians in Gaza are calling for large scale demonstrations on June 26. I fully support their right to freedom of expression & oppose any suppression & demonization of those protests or distortion of their message

Like previous protests, Israel's propagandists would rush to frame this as a SOLELY "anti-Hamas movement" & Hamas partisans might rush to label protesters "collaborators". They are neither!

Those are Palestinians, mostly young, who are demanding the right to life & are fed up with the status quo.

Having lost their homes, families, livelihoods & limbs throughout 2.5 years of genocide, they have every right to resent or protest whoever they want!

Their first public statement asserts clearly "The occupier is our sole enemy, & whoever undermines our will to remain on this land & to refuse expulsion is serving the goals of the occupier"

The first statement emphasizes the following:
1- Demanding that the voice of Palestinians in Gaza be heard by all, after enduring 2.5 years of genocide.
2- Demanding Gazans' right to restore their lives & refusal to surrender to a new unliveable status quo imposed for the goal of ethnic cleansing.
3- Demanding urgent intervention to prevent the medical catastrophe of widespread diseases & epidemics in refugee camps, as a result of the genocide.
4- Demanding the right to travel in/out of Gaza & receive medical treatment, noting that many patients & wounded Palestinians have died while awaiting Israel's permission for medical evacuation.
5- Demanding the restoration of education. Palestinian students in Gaza have been deprived of education for the third year in a row.
6- Rejecting any blackmail, humiliation & use of starvation as a weapon to compromise the dignity of Gazans.
7- Asserting Palestinian belonging to, long history on & ownership of this land. Rejecting the reduction of Palestinian lives to a tent & humanitarian aid.
8- Asserting that the June 26 revolution is against any & all parties that allow for Gazans to live under such humiliation without the basics of dignified life. "We want to resort the soul of our people & our steadfastness in the face of oppression & occupation."
9- Rejecting any compromising of our rights or treatment of Palestinians as a burden.

⭕️ REPORT | Israel has killed 987 Palestinians and launched more than 1,450 airstrikes and shelling attacks since agreeing to a “ceasefire” in Gaza last October

Israeli forces have carried out at least 3,224 ceasefire violations across Gaza since the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement, according to a report shared by the Palestinian side with mediators and obtained by Drop Site News.

Wednesday alone saw 12 armed field incidents, including repeated artillery and naval attacks across the Strip:
🔹 Israeli artillery shelled northern Gaza
🔹 Artillery shelling east of Deir al-Balah
🔹 23-year-old Faten Faisal Odeh Al-Arouqi was wounded by Israeli live fire east of Al-Maghazi Camp
🔹 Israeli warships opened fire toward the beaches and coastline of Gaza City in two separate incidents
🔹 Israeli artillery shelled northeastern Gaza City
🔹 Two civilians were wounded by Israeli warship fire west of Al-Nuseirat
🔹 Artillery shelling east of Khan Younis in two separate attacks
🔹 Ahmad Rafiq Al-Batsh was abducted by armed militias operating under the protection of the Israeli army east of Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood

The UN-backed @BoardOfPeace has not condemned a single attack.

Since the “ceasefire” took effect, 987 Palestinians have been killed, including 236 children, 110 women, and 30 elderly people, while 3,109 have been wounded, nearly half of them children, women, or elderly. A total of 95 civilians have also been newly abducted.

Israel also continues to hold approximately 34 square kilometers beyond agreed withdrawal lines and has blocked repairs to electricity, water, and sewage infrastructure. Aid and movement restrictions remain severe:

▪️ 88 individuals have been turned back at the crossing
▪️ Gaza’s Health Ministry says roughly 20,000 patients are awaiting Israeli approval to leave the Strip for treatment abroad, and that about 10 die each day while waiting.

▪️ Only ~36.1% of agreed humanitarian aid has entered, averaging about 217 trucks per day compared with the 600 agreed under the ceasefire
▪️ Fuel deliveries remain at just 14.7% of required levels
▪️ The WFP estimates 77% of Gaza’s population faces acute food insecurity, including 100,000 children and 37,000 pregnant women suffering from acute malnutrition, amid what MSF in May 2026 described as a “manufactured malnutrition crisis.”

1. You have to believe an alleged two-thousand-year right-of-return is infinitely more just & righteous than a two-generation right-of-return.

You have to believe that trying to establish a Jewish State with a Jewish supermajority working at Jewish-only cooperatives living in Jewish-only colonies owned by Jewish-only land authorities operating Jewish-only schools maintained by Jewish-only militias in a country that was overwhelmingly Palestinian Arab and a region that overwhelming Arab was a good idea.

You see every major human rights group on earth saying Israel is guilty of genocide and apartheid, and they're running around frantically telling you it's a giant conspiracy to frame Israel and the truth is that words words words words words words words.

You see more and more mainstream news institutions reporting on the mountains of evidence of widespread rape and torture in Israeli prisons, and they saturate the airwaves claiming it's an antisemitic blood libel because words words words words words words words.

The idea is to just pound your intellect with a firehose of verbiage until your inner sensemaker has been shredded and you're too confused to form a coherent picture of what's actually going on. It's a disgusting, abusive, and profoundly unethical thing to do to people.

But the good news is it's not working anymore. Language is immensely powerful, but its power has its limits. Israel's behavior has become so transparently unacceptable that no amount of word magic can manipulate people into seeing anything other than what's happening in front of their face.

"I used to see dogs as gentle, loyal creatures. Now, every time I pass one, my whole body shakes." Palestinian journalist Marah Al-Wadyi describes how the genocide in Gaza has fractured something in the way Gazans see the animals around them. She speaks about her relative Najwa, killed along with her children Sahar, Tahsin and Tayseer by Israeli quadcopters, whose body was then partly eaten by starving dogs. Marah says she understands the animals were driven to it by hunger, that this is not their nature, that Israel starved the entire Strip, people and animals alike.

Yet she admits the terror and revulsion are things she cannot reason her way out of, because in the end she is human and the images stay with her. She recalls the documented killing of Muhammad Bhar, the young man with Down syndrome who was mauled to death by an Israeli army combat dog in Shujaiya as he pleaded "enough, my love," and she points to the systematic use of trained attack dogs, imported and deployed by the occupation, to rape and torture Palestinian hostages in its prisons.

What she describes is how an entire population's relationship with the living world has been bent out of shape under siege and starvation. She speaks of fearing even cats, sensing they might see hungry, emaciated bodies as their next meal, and of the most haunting detail of all: children in Gaza who, while playing with cats, have started telling them, "Tomorrow when we die, don't you dare eat us." Marah knows it is the occupation's engineered starvation and violence that turned the animals' nature, that the dogs and cats are victims of the same policy as the people. But she is honest that it has also changed something inside her that may be hard to mend, one more wound from a war that has reached into the smallest and most intimate corners of life in Gaza.
