FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass and Director Melissa Bujeda had the opportunity to meet with Border Czar Tom Homan at the @FLSheriffs Conference to discuss border security and Florida’s accomplishments through collaboration between local, state and federal partners.

Homan addressed the Florida sheriffs, expressing the federal government’s appreciation for the partnerships between local, state and federal agencies in addressing illegal immigration and keeping Floridians safe.

Protecting the safety of our Florida officials.

FDLE Fort Myers worked with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police after several Florida officials received threatening letters last year.

The investigation led to the arrest of Jasmyn Osborne of Virginia. She is now in Florida facing the consequences of her actions.

Let’s make this clear, FDLE will continue to work with our partners to investigate threats of violence and protect our Florida officials.

Leading the future of criminal justice!

FDLE's Criminal Justice Executive Institute recently graduated 19 professionals from 18 different criminal justice agencies from the Executive Leadership Seminar Class #13.

Following three weeks of open discussion and skill advancement, these leaders are ready to apply their knowledge and skill sets with their home agencies.

Exploiting and harming our children and animals will never be okay. We may be the Free State of Florida, but we are also the Law-and-Order State of Florida. If you commit crimes against our children, we will hold you accountable and investigate your crimes.

Look no further than Bailey Hurst, of Pensacola, who is charged with 20 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and two counts of possession of bestiality.

This week, FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass, along with several Command Staff members, attended the @FLSheriffs Summer Conference in Doral hosted by the @MiamiDade_SO. FDLE loves to see events like this that bring Florida’s best law enforcement leaders together to work collaboratively to keep Florida safe.

The conference welcomed Florida leaders @GovRonDeSantis, @AGJamesUthmeier, @SenRickScott, and Florida Senate President Ben Albritton who expressed their support for the men and women who wear the badge and protect our citizens.

During the @FLSheriffs Summer Conference in Doral, FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass met with @FBI Director Kash Patel to discuss the incredible work our law enforcement officers have done in the Law-and-Order State of Florida and the great partnership FDLE has with the FBI. 

We continue to work with our local, state and federal partners to safeguard our citizens and uphold our FDLE mission of promoting public safety and strengthening domestic security.

On Monday, FDLE Miami Special Agent in Charge Michael Stein joined @AGJamesUthmeier, @SaoMiami Katherine Fernandez Rundle, and other Miami-Dade law enforcement leaders to announce the success of 28 undercover operations conducted through the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Human Trafficking Task Force.  The operations, carried out over the course of the 2026 FIFA World Cup events, aimed at combatting human trafficking and led to critical rescues and significant arrests.

Recently, FDLE’s Forensic Programs received accreditation of the first ever program for use of Rapid DNA at crime scenes through a law enforcement agency partner for DNA database searching.

The benefit of this program is that an agency can take samples from a crime scene that has no known suspect, submit a sample in real time, search the DNA database (CODIS), and potentially get an investigative lead of a subject within 48 hours, exponentially cutting down on the turnaround time to process the samples.

You can run, but you can’t hide—and that’s exactly what happened to this fugitive.

FDLE agents found and arrested Michael Kinne, 40, of Mount Dora, who was wanted on an outstanding no-bond warrant for violation of probation.

Not only was Kinne wanted for violating his probation for previous crimes, but now he is being charged for using his Kik account to share and store digital files depicting the sexual abuse of children.

Protecting Florida from land to the skies ✈️

Special Agents from the Pensacola Regional Operations Center and an Inspector from Domestic Security were on hand for the Pensacola Beach Blue Agents Airshow from July 16-18. This annual event is one of the largest public gatherings in the Pensacola Region, attracting over 300,000 fans during the weekend. FDLE members assisted with drone detection and partnered with other state, local, and federal agencies for physical security of the event.

This year’s show was the 80th Anniversary of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron, headquartered at Naval Air Station Pensacola.

Earlier this week, FDLE’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) held the 2026 Annual Training Symposium in Orlando, where FDLE Deputy Commissioner Mike Phillips gave welcoming remarks on the first day of this grand event. Over a four-day period, attendees had the opportunity to hear from subject matter experts from federal, state, and local agencies as they provide training on topics geared specifically toward law enforcement and criminal justice personnel.

The symposium serves as a forum to network, train, and exchange information on a wide array of initiatives for criminal justice agencies.

The CJIS Annual Training Symposium has grown exponentially over the years since hosting its first one in 1987, where it welcomed 264 criminal justice attendees. This year, the symposium welcomed over 300 different agencies and over 1,000 criminal justice attendees!

This postal employee thought stealing cash could deliver a big payday. Instead, it just landed her in jail.

Napeaches Blair was stealing cash right from the mailing system. Now, she is charged with grand theft and mail theft.

Yesterday, FDLE Tampa Bay Special Agent in Charge Mark Dubina joined Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri to announce arrests in Operation Hall of Fame, a narcotics investigation that resulted in the largest drug seizure from a singular trafficker in the county.
