@WallStreetApes Eminent domain can be defeated in court and I hope this man gets a wonderful lawyer who will do so.
@ASU should purchase land elsewhere for their new campus. They shouldn't be allowed to steal an old man's home & forcing him to sell his home is theft. They should be ashamed.
@kwelkernbc@NBCNews@MeetThePress You were completely unprofessional. You argued with @POTUS instead of interviewing him. You pushed lies that have been disproven. You should be fired for this disgusting and disgraceful partisan attack. You aren't a journalist. You are a biased hack.
@libsoftiktok Because it demonstrates the competence & frugality of Trump vs. the financial irresponsibility & incompetence of Obama. It was the same project with completely opposite results.
@sesamestreet Children should not be exposed to sexual content. That your show is pushing adult issues onto children is shameful and inappropriate.
Your show should be stripped of any remaining federal funding/grants for this grooming behavior.
@YevetteMM@DefiyantlyFree This article does a good job explaining why women and children are recruited and used as terrorists.
It is a despicable practice but women and children are viewed as disposable by terrorists.
https://t.co/q6NsiPlROZ
@YevetteMM@DefiyantlyFree Unfortunately some children are used as terrorists.
In Iraq, Samira Ahmed Jassim orchestrated 28 successful terrorists attacks using girls/young women. These girls/young women were raped and then convinced to be suicide bombers to restore their family's honor.
@GSO_Police How is focusing on who people choose to have sex with lowering crime in your jurisdiction?
This is a waste of taxpayer money and @GSO_police time & resources. Focus on lowering crime for everyone in your community instead of pandering to a small group with woke, DEI nonsense.
@CBSNewsTexas@jamestalarico@KenPaxtonTX "When people show you who they are, believe them the first time." - Dr. Angelou
@KenPaxtonTX isn't clipping comments by @jamestalarico as a distraction. Ken is showing Texans how liberal & unfit to represent TX James is by sharing videos of James stating his policies & beliefs.
โFree Palestine.โ
I grew up on those words.
In Lebanon, most people around me wanted a free Palestine for a very practical reason โ to send the Palestinian refugees back. The civil war that tore my country apart was ignited in no small part by the Palestinian armed factions who turned Lebanon into their launching pad. โFree Palestineโ meant: free us from them.
In Damascus, where my fatherโs family lived, the sentiment was different but equally self-serving. Palestine must be returned to the Arabs, its righteous owners. No one asked follow-up questions. No one was expected to.
Palestine was central to Islam, most Arabs are Muslim, therefore supporting the Palestinian cause was reflexive. A non-brainer in the most literal sense โ no brain engaged at all.
Nobody stopped to point out that Palestine is not an Arabic word. Nobody found it strange that Jerusalem, the supposedly third holiest city in Islam, is not mentioned once in the Quran. Not once. Nor is Palestine. The entire theological and political architecture of this cause rests on a foundation that their own scripture doesnโt bother to acknowledge.
What was actually happening was indoctrination. A systematic, generational rejection of Jewish sovereignty โ and frankly, of any minority sovereignty. Jews, Christians, Druze, Kurds, Assyrians, Yazidis โ the Arab world has been remarkably consistent in how it treats people who are different. We just donโt talk about that.
Instead, in the West, we talk about Palestine.
In the West, a civilization that has elevated human rights to its highest moral currency, the Palestinian cause has become the one exception to every rule. In the queue of human suffering, Palestinians cut the line every time. Homosexuals executed in Gaza and hanged from cranes in Iran? Palestine first. Women imprisoned in Saudi Arabia for campaigning for the right to drive โ a right they were denied until 2018 โ girls sold into marriage in Afghanistan, women erased from public life entirely under the Taliban? After Palestine. Political dissidents ground into dust in Syrian and Egyptian prisons, journalists disappeared in Libya, children starving in Yemen while their rulers wage proxy wars, entire populations hollowed out by hunger in Sudan? All of it waits. Christians ethnically cleansed from Iraq and Syria, the Arab world methodically emptied of every Jewish community it once held โ a demographic erasure carried out across a century with surgical patience and near-total Western silence?
Palestine is still first.
So letโs end where we started. Free Palestine. Which Palestine, exactly? The Roman invention? The British administrative line? The British Mandate covered the entire territory of what is today Israel, the West Bank, Gaza and Jordan. In 1921, 78% of that mandate was handed to the Hashemite family โ a dynasty imported from Hijaz in present-day Saudi Arabia โ and became the Kingdom of Jordan, which it remains to this day. A foreign royal family, on the majority of historic Palestine, ruling it as a monarchy. Nobody protests that. No flags, no chants, no encampments. The remaining 22% was designated for the Jews, became Israel, and is the only part that any pro-Palestinian activist has ever had a problem with.
So when you say Free Palestine, you mean that 22%. You mean the Jews.
And free it from whom? From a people with a three-thousand-year-old documented presence in that land, to restore the glory of a name coined by Roman colonizers, a name lifted from the Torah, a name that has no roots in Arabic, no mention in the Quran, and no history as a sovereign state?
You are not chanting for liberation. You are chanting for colonialism โ the Roman kind, repackaged for social media.
Free Palestine is not a cause. It is a colonial term, coined by invaders, recycled by the indoctrinated. The least you can do is have the intelligence to understand it and the decency to reflect on your position.

Lieutenant Governor Flanagan, with every ounce of sassy science teacher I have left in me on this particular Memorial Day morning โ let me ask you something.
Where was this energy when George Floyd was on his FIRST arrest? His fifth? His NINETEENTH?
Where was the family, the community, the collective outpouring of love and grief when he was serving time for an armed home invasion โ in which he and his associates held a gun to a woman's stomach while her children watched their home get ransacked for drugs and money? Where was "nothing will bring him back to his loved ones" when he was ACTIVELY CHOOSING to put a firearm against a woman in her own home?
Where was Gianna's family when her father's drug addiction had completely consumed him? When he overdosed in March 2020 and was hospitalized? When he was passed counterfeit bills at a convenience store on May 25, 2020 โ the LAST decision of his life? You want to talk about his little girl? WHERE. WAS. THE. FAMILY. during the nineteen arrests that preceded that day?
I will tell you where they were NOT โ they were not in Arlington. They were not in a flag-draped coffin. They were not clearing IEDs in Fallujah or breathing burn pit smoke in Kandahar or bleeding out in a Humvee in Mosul so that you could post THIS insufferable, intellectually vacant, weapons-grade tone-deaf thread on Memorial Day.
All life has value, Lieutenant Governor. I believe that as a science teacher and as a Christian. But not all lives are equally worth commemorating on the ONE day this nation sets aside for people who gave EVERYTHING honorably in service to this country. George Floyd did not give his life for this country. George Floyd made a series of choices โ documented, adjudicated, on court record โ that put him on the trajectory that ended on that street corner. That is not my opinion. That is the public record.
You know what his legacy should be? A cautionary tale. A classroom lesson. "This is what happens when a brilliant young man with a future in front of him gets consumed by addiction and crime and the people around him let it happen." THAT is a story worth telling. THAT might actually save a kid somewhere.
Instead, flibbertigibbets like you turn him into a martyr, slap his face on a billboard, and spend Memorial Day telling Minnesotans to "gather and honor his life" โ while not a single post from your office honors the Minnesota soldiers buried under white crosses who never pointed a gun at anyone who did not deserve it.
You have miles to go before you reach mediocre, and somehow you keep finding ways to cover less ground every year.
Quinn's Law #9: to liberals, intentions are more significant than outcomes. You INTEND to champion racial justice. The OUTCOME is that you spend the day honoring a man whose own life story is a masterclass in what not to do โ while the families of actual heroes watch their loved ones' sacrifice get ignored by the very government those heroes died defending.
You are what happens when a participation trophy gets sworn into office.
@GuntherEagleman@catturd2@JoJoFromJerz
But what do I know โ I am only a science teacher who uses the public court record instead of a political narrative, and a medically retired Army combat medic who knows EXACTLY whose life deserves a Memorial Day post.

@peggyflanagan Floyd had COVID-19 at the time of his death. If he had stayed home as people w/ COVID-19 were instructed to do, he might still be alive.
If he didn't do drugs, he might still be alive.
If he hadn't chosen to be a violent man, he might still be alive.
He made fatal decisions.
@NYRural The problem isn't the number of podiums. The problem is that a boy is allowed to compete in a competition for girls. Males have physical advantages that make it unfair to compete against females. If he doesn't want to fairly compete against other males, then create a trans event.
I would once again like to remind everyone threatening SCOVA and Republicans in general that it is not our fault that Democrats did what they did here in Virginia.
If you want to be angry at anyone, be angry at these people - I'll even tell you why:
@GovernorVA: Her people knew it was a bad idea; they questioned the legality of it. She went ahead and signed the bill anyway and actively campaigned for it, even though she had promised during her campaign that she had no intention of gerrymandering the state.
@AGJayJones: Talk about a horrible attorney, you guys. Just horrible. Forget that he texted horrific, violent fantasies about shooting a Republican and wishing for his children to die. The guy is just not a good attorney. He is the reason the election went forward without a ruling; he pushed for it. And THEN he brought in California attorneys to argue the case ... they lost. So any of you whining about how the justices TOOK THEIR VOTES AWAY, take it up with Jay, he's the reason there was a vote in the first place.
@SenLouiseLucas: This one is pretty self-explanatory. Just search her now legendary, '10 Fuckin' 1'.
@SpeakerDonScott: This poor guy. When Louise says jump, he asks how high. And yes, pun intended.
@DelRodWillett: Rod here is responsible for the wording of the actual referendum that used the word 'fairness,' which is just bizarre. Republicans actually attempted to change the wording of the referendum, but they were shut down without debate.
@EricHolder, @RepJeffries, and @BarackObama: They dumped tens of millions into this state to steal seats from rural Virginians. Yup, you read that right. Roughly $70 MILLION dollars funneled into a state to buy four seats (that our governor was more than willing to sell them).
Oh, and speaking of funding, while @timkaine and @MarkWarner both voiced concerns at first, they BOTH fell in line (after Louise Lucas called them cucks), and get this... each donated $100,000 to the effort to SILENCE millions of people in their own state.
Must include every single Democrat who started running for the lobster district, like @HelmerVA and @DSMcAuliffe ... curious if Dorothy will have to pay back the large amount of money she raised to run for a district that does not exist.
There were many bad actors locally and across the country, telling lies about how this was 'leveling the playing field,' and insisting Trump was making them do it, rambling about Texas ... trying to sell it on the idea that it was TEMPORARY.
Which we all knew, it was not.
Ultimately, this was a complete failure from the get-go: breaking laws, going against the state constitution, and willfully deceiving voters, all while insisting they were the good guys.
Turns out, they were definitely the bad guys.
Finally, this is not a win for Republicans; I realize that it helps us in the midterms, but in my humble opinion, this is much bigger than that. This was a win for Virginia and a reminder that, in a 6/5-divided state such as ours, every voice still matters.
Sic Semper Tyrannis xo
@MeidasTouch This is nothing more than another NGO money laundry scheme. Instead of giving parents a tax credit or reducing their taxes so that they have more money to buy diapers, CA buys diapers at an inflated price so that the NGO can make money while the stressed taxpayers pay even more.
Christopher Hitchens: โIn 1786, when the United States was barely a country, it was having its sailors taken as slaves by the Barbary states, the states of the Ottoman Empire and North Africa. Tripoli, shores of Tripoli. Ships stopped, its crews carried off into slavery. We estimate 1.5 million European and American slaves taken between 1750 and 1815.
Jefferson and Adams went to their ambassador in London and said, why do you do this to us? The United States has never had a quarrel with the Muslim world of any kind. We weren't in the crusades. We weren't at war with Spain. Why do you do this to our people and our ships? Why do you plunder and enslave our people? The ambassador said very plainly, Mr. Abdul Rahman said, because the Quran gives us permission to do so, because you are infidels, and that's our answer. Jefferson said, well, in that case, I will send a navy which will crush your state, which he did.
Islamic fundamentalism is not created by American democracy. It's a lie to say so. It's a masochistic lie, and it excuses those who are the real criminals, and blames us for the attacks made upon us.โ
@trouble_man90 Every Tennessean over the age of 18 can vote regardless of their skin color. (Unless they are imprisoned or have a court order prohibiting them voting).
This is eliminating racism instead of perpetuating racism. Elections will have to be won on ideas & results for all, not race.
@Angry_Staffer You do realize that the VA Supreme Court (VASC) is different than the SCOTUS don't you?
VASC only has authority over VA and no other state.
The VASC ruled you have to follow the process in the VA constitution to redistrict.
SCOTUS ruled that districts can't be based on race.
@JfkPascalNajadX It isn't enough to impeach her. She should be charged as an accessory to any future crimes he commits during the time he should be imprisoned.
