This is awful advice.

1. A patient may be refused transfer if there is no accepting physician at a different hospital. In order to transfer inpatient to inpatient the transfer hospital is required to accept the patient and have a bed available.

2. There is no way a child intubated and on a ventilator would be allowed to leave against medical advice. This would require a ventilator to go with the child (or patient) and going AMA means that nothing is provided for the transport due to the scum sucking liability lawyers. This would be judged an unsafe discharge for which the hospital that allowed the AMA would be subject to liability as would the physician.

3. If a physician requests a transfer to not give the complete clinical picture would potentially be an EMTALA violation.

4. The family is free to peruse an accepting physician at an alternative hospital. If there is a scripting physician the hospital to which the patient is admitted would be compelled to transfer the patient.

Yes a combination of tears. Cold water calorimetry, absence of rudimentary reflexes to test the brain stem and transcranial Doppler imagery of the four arteries that bring blood to the brain. The absence of clinical signs with the absence of brain blood flow confirm brain death.

I agree with the being apart from the general population. If you really want the best look for a minute suites in some airports. It’s cheap, private room with a relatively comfortable bed and desk and extremely quiet. You can truly be alone and it’s quiet.

Was flying through ATL to catch a late flight home and was delayed. Missed the last flight out. Found the minute suite booked it for 6 hours (I think it was all of $100) and slept just fine in the middle of ATL. Shower the next morning two minute walk to the gate. It salvaged a miserable experience

Well here are some facts to refute this. VIX at yearly low. Trending SPY and QQQ. Call options at a yearly high. Puts very low. Given decreasing VIX, plummeting oil and decreasing yields on 10y, provided no catalyst, and particularly because GEX on major indices is in the middle of a deeply green field, inertia favors bullish continuation. I agree there may be a consolidation but this is a little dramatic if you ask me.
