The chairman of the party should not be insulting the intelligence of Republican voters. A debate was promised and these ridiculous criteria are being used to renege on that promise and to engineer a preferred outcome.
Why not just take 90 minutes, find a tv partner, and let the candidates mix it up?
The only reason why you wouldn’t is if the party hierarchy is serving outside interests instead of the best interests of the voters.
🚨Mark Carney is celebrating 10% trade growth with France. 🇫🇷
Canada-France trade: ~$12B annually
10% increase: ~$1.2B
Canada-USA trade: $1.1 TRILLION annually🇺🇸
CUSMA at risk: 2 million jobs exposed
He’s celebrating a $1.2B gain
while risking a $1.1 trillion relationship.
That’s not diversification.
That’s a distraction. 🇨🇦📉
#CdnPoli #CUSMA #Carney
Very little detail here.
Does no money changing hands only mean physical cash? Or does that cover bank asset unfreezing and sanctions too?
What’s the monitoring and enforcement mechanism? Is enrichment allowed? What does “appropriate time” mean?
@JeffreyBrandes Tax schemes need to be tailored to individual communities. However, I’m more than willing to see a combination of sales and use taxes, along with fees that target tourists to help cover the costs. We also need to see a reduction in bloated bureaucracies and budgets.
🚨BREAKING:
🇺🇸🇮🇷Trump's team was ready to fly to Geneva this weekend for a deal-signing ceremony with Iran.
Iran just said there is no deal to sign.
That's not a minor miscommunication. The US publicly telegraphed a signing ceremony. Iran publicly called it a "mistaken understanding of US proposals and wishes."
One side is describing a finish line. The other side says the race is still running.
Either the Trump administration is leaking optimism to pressure Iran into closing faster, or they genuinely believed a deal was closer than it is.

@JeffreyBrandes Let’s end the charade that local governments won’t receive funding. The question is which funding source offers the best check on government spending to protect taxpayers. Local governments have demonstrated their eagerness to spend every penny of property tax increases.
BREAKING: 🇮🇷🇺🇸The 14-point draft memorandum of understanding between Iran and the U.S., per Mer News Agency:
— Permanent and immediate cessation of war on all fronts, including Lebanon
— The U.S. commitment to non-interference in Iran's internal affairs and respect for the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
— Complete lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days
— The U.S. commitment to withdraw its forces from around Iran
— Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days under Iranian arrangements
— Suspension of sanctions on the sale of oil, petrochemical products, and derivatives, and full access of Iran to its financial resources
— The necessity for the U.S. and its allies to present reconstruction plans for Iran amounting to at least 300 billion dollars
— 60 days of negotiations to reach a final agreement based on nuclear issues and the complete lifting of primary, secondary, U.S. sanctions, and UN Security Council and IAEA Board of Governors resolutions
— Reiteration of Iran's commitment under the NPT treaty not to produce nuclear weapons
— During the negotiation period, the US has committed not to add forces in the region and not to impose new sanctions
— Release of 24 billion dollars of Iran's blocked funds during the 60-day final negotiation period. Half of this amount must be made available to Iran before the start of negotiations
— Formation of a supervisory mechanism to implement the agreement
— The final agreement will be approved by a UN Security Council resolution
— Final negotiations will not begin before the release of half of Iran's blocked funds, suspension of Iran's oil sanctions, and lifting of the naval blockade, and the final agreement will only cover the fate of enriched materials and enrichment, lifting of sanctions, and Iran's economic reconstruction plan
— Discussions about Iran's missile program and support for resistance groups are definitively removed from the agenda
President Trump ends a war with Iran on average every 3-1/2 hours.
He's up to 617 Iran wars ended just in the past three months.
If this doesn't deserve a Nobel Peace Prize, I don't know what does.
@HollyBullardFL As he acknowledges, even “conservative” local governments self-inflicted this problem by spending recklessly without any fiscal restraint, and that’s the crux of the matter. Government needs the friction of constraints and the approval of voters to maintain discipline.
@ItsFreakinHarry@JaelandoTweets@JeffreyBrandes So the property owner will benefit from a reduced tax burden that will no longer artificially reduce the value of their home. That seems like a win to me.
@LarryGreer20@StephenMoore@kaymay30011264 Private insurance is also a highly regulated market. My point was to highlight a real market where patients pay doctors directly versus a system where government controls. I completely understand your desire to protect your guaranteed government revenue.
@LarryGreer20@StephenMoore@kaymay30011264 Your hypocrisy is something. Don’t touch my government payments because I earned them. That’s a familiar refrain from everyone who makes their living off of the government. 🙄
