Following the oral hearing on transnational repression on February 5, 2024, and our subsequent meeting, we have documented and presented oral testimonies from members of the Pakistani diaspora in the UK who have been victims of transnational repression.
Cases of individuals who have been harassed, threatened, or whose family members have been abducted by Pakistani authorities have been submitted to the UK Parliament’s Human Rights Committee @HumanRightsCtte
We extend our deep gratitude to those who bravely came forward to speak out against the brutal fascism that has persisted in Pakistan over the past three years.
We expect the UK Human Rights Committee to make strong recommendations to the government, urging action to protect these victims, prevent foreign regimes from targeting individuals on UK soil, and uphold their fundamental rights.
The road ahead may be long and challenging, but FODP remains unwavering in its mission. We will continue our fight, leaving no stone unturned, to ensure justice and protection for those affected.

We are examining how foreign governments try to intimidate and silence people living in the UK and the effect on their human rights.

"Prisoner number 804: the plot to erase Imran Khan
It’s one thing to remove a PM from office, as happened to the former cricketer in 2022. But it’s another thing to try to eradicate the most famous person in Pakistan’s history"

Moeed Pirzada @MoeedNj
one of Pakistan’s most respected journalists, refused to fabricate lies for the military establishment during the ouster of Imran Khan.
For speaking truth, he faced harassment, de-platforming, and death threats.
After a fellow journalist was assassinated, he was forced to flee to the U.S.
This is Pakistan today under fascist military regime.

🇵🇰 "IMRAN KHAN REFUSED THE EXILE OFFER BY THE MILITARY, AND THIS HAS LANDED HIM IN JAIL."
Dr. Moeed explains how Imran Khan's refusal to follow Pakistani military conventions led to his imprisonment, including rejecting an exile deal to London.
"Imran Khan, from the military's POV, has refused to play by the conventions established by the Pakistani military.
In fact, before arresting him and putting him in jail, the military establishment started sending in the messages that the best way for him was to go and join Jemima and the children in London for 2 or 3 years.
That in 2 or 3 years, Pakistani politics would change.
He should keep his mouth shut, and he would be able to come back and join politics.
But Imran Khan never believed in that thing.
And this is how he has landed in this situation."
@MoeedNj
Pakistani journalist Imran Riaz Khan revealed in an interview with @Marionawful that Pakistan’s military establishment pressured him to issue a statement against former PM Imran Khan, which he refused. After his refusal, he was abducted and illegally detained for months, brutally tortured, and his family was harassed. He was initially reported missing for nearly five months before being recovered and later fled to the UK for safety. He said he continues to face pressure and consequences for defying illegal orders, and remains committed to speaking out despite the crackdown on journalists and dissent in Pakistan. @ImranRiazKhan

On the evening of 31 December (yesterday) my residence in Cambridgeshire, England was subjected to a deliberate and targeted criminal attack with the intent to cause serious harm. The perpetrators criminally damaged the property and attempted to set it on fire, placing lives at immediate risk.
This constitutes the second serious attack within one week against my home, myself, and my family, each carried out with clear malicious intent. These are not isolated or random incidents. I was physically assaulted in a targeted attack on 24 December leaving me with substantial injuries.
UK authorities are actively investigating both events, which are being treated as targeted attacks.
The United Kingdom has a legal and moral obligation to exhaust all available powers and resources to ensure that it remains a safe country for all, particularly for political dissidents and individuals at risk of persecution.

We strongly condemn the attack on senior Pakistani lawyer @ShazadAkbar at his residence in the United Kingdom. This act of violence is a disturbing example of transnational repression, aimed at intimidating individuals exercising their fundamental rights beyond their home country. Such attacks undermine the rule of law, human rights, and the safety of diaspora communities. We urge UK authorities to conduct a thorough, transparent, and impartial investigation and ensure that those responsible are held fully accountable. The international community must stand against attempts to extend domestic repression across borders. (Admin)

The UN and Amnesty International have already declared Imran Khan a political prisoner in arbitrary detention and demanded his release. No surprise, then, that the authoritarian state has responded with a sham trial—handing him and his wife 17-year sentences instead. @EUPakistan
The use of water cannons against peaceful protesters is a clear violation of the right to peaceful assembly. Authorities must immediately end the disproportionate use of force and respect fundamental freedoms. #PakistanUnderFascism
PAKISTAN: The repeated use of high-pressure water cannons by authorities against peaceful protesters outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi is a flagrant violation of their right to peaceful assembly. Pakistan authorities must respect people’s right to peacefully protest and end the disproportionate and punitive use of force.

Aleema Khan, the sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, along with several others, sustained burn injuries after being sprayed with chemically treated water from state water cannons last night. This excessive use of force was carried out by an increasingly authoritarian regime simply because she attempted to meet Imran Khan, who remains a political prisoner, in accordance with both his legal rights and hers. The incident highlights the alarming level of repression being used against peaceful citizens and family members exercising lawful rights. @StateDept@EU_Parliament@UKForeignOffice

The FODP condemns in the strongest possible terms the Government of Pakistan’s ongoing transnational repression targeting @ShazadAkbar and @soldierspeaks. We call upon @FCDOGovUK to give this matter immediate and urgent attention, to decisively resist the politically driven extradition attempt, and to highlight the deeply troubling pattern of human rights violations attributed to Pakistan’s current regime, ranging from suppression of dissent and intimidation of political opponents to abuses that undermine fundamental democratic freedoms. The FODP stands firmly with the courageous lawyer and activist Imaan Zainab Hazir Mazari and her husband Abdul Hadi Chatta. We call on Pakistan’s legal community to unite in defending @ImaanZHazir and safeguarding civil liberties across the country.

After 19 months of withholding, this report has finally been made public only as a result of the pressure created by the document leaked by Dropsite @DropSiteNews@worqas@ryangrim
along with hundreds of people who wrote to the Commonwealth.
Such an unreasonable delay has gravely undermined the credibility of the Commonwealth.
@commonwealthsec@SGCommonwealth@PScotlandKC
Further . In the story published by Dropsite, it is clearly stated how the Commonwealth colluded with the Pakistani regime to suppress evidence of a rigged election. This serious allegation must be investigated thoroughly: How the Commonwealth Organization Colluded with Pakistan to Suppress Evidence of a Rigged Election.

We demand full accountability: those responsible for this obstruction must be subjected to a thorough investigation.
