@JooBilly We had some public meetings when fighting for our Civil Rights Ordinance and against housing/employment discrimination. Now we'd rather people spend their time at City Council or QC meetings, or talking to their reps 1-1. We're not much for fancy parties.

The Bad news is that a Voter ID constitutional amendment is on the ballot in November. For Fayetteville opposes Issue 2 because, as the judge ruled, there is no evidence that the threat of voter fraud is great enough to keep citizens from exercising their right to vote.

@CollinsARK When you consistently support State laws that reverse the decisions made by Fayetteville voters or City Council decisions, you are showing a lack of interest in Fayetteville. You can't spin that. Your record is clear.

@CollinsARK To be clear in the case of the Median measure, and the Panhandling State law, we believe current laws provide the enforcement mechanisms to accomplish the goal. But if we are going to enforce addt'l measures, we need prevention as well.

In 2017 @CollinsARK sponsored a "plainly unconstitutional" ban against citizens asking for help in public places. This is very different from Fayetteville's recent ordinance which simply clarified that a median was part of a roadway. https://t.co/rLqKsbGJ45
