Thriving #hamradio club based in Wimborne. Contest grade HF and VHF shacks, QO-100 station, 10GHz EME station. Regular meetings on Weds & Sunday. All welcome ☕
@Jim_G0OFE Thanks Jim, Brian was an inspiration and friend to many of us. Nick M0NTV is the vicar for the funeral next Friday. Please let us know if you have any memories to share - de G0MFR
Operating portable from our holiday let in Cornwall. Used the G90 for the first time and had my first CW QSO outside of Morse Club at @FRARSG4RFR although it was with the club station. Need a better key and to sort out the guying kit for my SOTAbeams pole. Otherwise all good!
After months of planning and putting up a dish specifically for the job the planets literally aligned this morning and we made two 10GHz moonbounce QSOs with Australia 🎉🌛📡 #GHzbands@theRSGB

Progress on 10GHz EME project this week, 1.2m dish is up. AZ rotator clearly a weakness but better to be active than just sat planning the ultimate solution. 🙂Happy with 1st results, now to optimise.
I just need to find a WG16 switch to complete the setup.
Fun on the #GHz_Bands
Current issue of @UKGHZ Scatterpoint mag contains a history of our moonbounce / EME setup at @FRARSG4RFR - available to read here https://t.co/TCzpZouWT0 #hamr#GHZBands
A great club with excellent permanent shacks that have just been updated. HF, VHF/UHF, QO-100 & 10GHz EME on site. Come along -we’re starting a Morse academy soon and there are other irons in the fire for events throughout the year.
Thanks @FRARSG4RFR for first microwave EME contact. 3cm with 1.2m dish and 10w, well happy, didn’t honestly think my taped on /p setup would go! #ghzbands
AGM at @FRARSG4RFR tonight. Overall a positive year but we have more work today to keep the club on a stable footing. Looking forward to 2023 and the progress we hope to make as a club.
