At today’s “Beyond Grants: Feminist Accompaniment Strategies” session at #AWID2024, funders shared powerful ways to strengthen movements beyond financial grants:

🔑 Key Takeaways:

⚫️Funders must go beyond funding, offering long-term, flexible support that prioritises wellbeing.

⚫️Examples from @AstraeaUpdates , @FRIDAfund , and @GlobalFundWomen showed the impact of convening safe spaces, ensuring language justice, and fostering healing and connection.

⚫️ Trust is key. Funders need to show up consistently, listen, and collaborate to meet the needs of movements without extracting knowledge.

💡 Feminist accompaniment is about more than grants—building strong, sustainable movements.
