@tesla_na Current status of the once planned Western NC Service Center in Flat Rock, NC? Find Us page once had a Target Opening of 2025, but it has disappeared, reappeared, and then disappeared again from the Find Us page.

I should clarify - unless you have backup/emergency electric strips. If you have a heat pump or gas and that is your sole method of heating, then better to turn it off or down.
Some HVAC systems are programed to have the backup heat come on if the delta between set and actual is greater than a few degrees. In that case it would be better not to turn it down to much as the efficiency of electric strips is much less than heat pump or gas
@LearnedRebel84 not true - unless you have electric strips, it is more cost effective to turn it off or way down. Obviously this is too low as pipes may freeze, but 55-60 is a reasonable temp to set it to during the night
@ScarantinoX Keep in mind the longer it’s charging the longer the systems are running and consuming ~200w. I also understand the benefits on battery longevity to be negligible at this vs 48amps. Not worth it
@Speedgoatkarl @runnerrwe Yep, hellbender is put on by a non-profit - so happy to support it, but have to imagine in many cases the increased entry cost just goes to the RD's pocket. My guess/hope is that ultras hit an interest peak in the next few years and then go back to their pre-covid levels
