@midudev I think there is not a single reason to use GitHub copilot now. If you want to switch models, much better to get cursor so that you even get composer included
Also: 4.7 web is on a long chat that started before 4.8 release, has compressed several times the chat so very prone to context rot.
4.8 is on a brand new chat at 30% context usage.
I am using Opus 4.8 in Claude code for coding, and Opus 4.7 in web for review.
Same level of effort
Opus 4.7 web keeps correcting Opus 4.8 like if it was a summer intern.
Not sure it’s because of the model or the interface (web vs Claude Code), but there is something going on here
@Elaina43114880 Quality is undeniably good, but Anthropic is getting very bad reputation for how they are treating customers.
Rate limits decreasing from one day to the other, models randomly becoming stupid and so on.
They are completely losing the trust of developers
@bridgemindai Currently, Sonnet 4.7 1M on Claude code is available ONLY through extra usage, and I quite sure it will be the same now.
So we will be able to use in the max plan the 200k version. In 2026 😅😅
I’m scared to even look at the pricing.
My expectation: it will come with either a new subscription tier (500$?), or just extreme usage limits similar to Claude design for the 200$ plan.
This will mean, no usage at scale by people, who will stay on Opus / GPT 5.5.
Enterprises? I see Microsoft is even ditching Opus for pricing. Interesting times ahead…
