On strike from tomorrow for 12 weeks. Unless the ELHT bosses see sense and give fair pay for Lancashire bio-scientists @FairPay4BioSc
It's time for the whole trades union movement of Lancashire to rally to their cause and picket lines. We want Justice 4 Workers 4 Xmas!
Our members employed by @ELHT_NHS are due to commence their 3rd wave of industrial action on December 15th. We now have a window of opportunity between now and then to find the resolution to this dispute and avoid further industrial action as we enter the Christmas period.
Unite has called on the Trust to meet with the union. #NHS managers now have a “short window of opportunity” to finally resolve this dispute before Christmas. The Trust only needs to honour the agreement it reached with the workers back in 2019.

#NHS staff at @ELHT_NHS are owed on average between £8000 and £12,000. We've been out in the community gathering support for the scientists in their bid to get paid what they are owed. #FairPay#PayUp
“If the strike goes ahead the blame will lie squarely with the Trust. For the patients, for staff and for the taxpayer I urge the Trust’s Chief Executive Martin Hodgson to honour the agreement and end the dispute.” - @UniteSharon.

The team was out & about in #Burnley gathering support from local GP surgeries today. It's clear the biomedical scientists at @ELHT_NHS have got massive support from the local community.
This has dragged on too long, the Trust must pay these #NHS key workers what they are owed
Lots of support for our @unitetheunion biomedical science members at @ELHT_NHS - it’s high time the Trust did the right thing. We will continue to fight for the #JobsPayConditions of our members, the Trust need to pay them what they’re owed.
Our biomedical scientist members from @ELHT_NHS have been fighting for their back pay for the past 24 weeks, these highly skilled staff just want what they are owed.
Our North West Health committee send their messages of support and call on @ELHT_NHS to pay what they owe.
"It’s clear management is putting its own agenda before the needs of patients, staff, and the taxpayer.”
@ELHT_NHS has spent more money trying to break the strike than it would have if they just paid these key workers what they are owed!

Unite general secretary @UniteSharon reaffirmed the union’s “unstinting support for @ELHT_NHS members.
“These highly skilled staff just want what they are owed. It’s time the trust did the right thing by them.”

.@unitetheunion submitted new detailed evidence to @ELHT_CEO, Martin Hodgson which supports the workers' claim of owed back pay. Evidence includes an e-mail from Martin acknowledging that the uplift to band 6 applied to the bio scientists.
