I want to thank everyone for their support and solidarity this time.

Before this government came to power, my only hope was that they would repeal the PTA so we could work without fear of it. But now, nearly 10 months into their rule, that hope remains unfulfilled. Compared to the previous government, I feel this one is somewhat better yet my only wish is that they will not harass anyone under the PTA.

For decades, CTID summons have been used as a tool of intimidation against Tamil journalists .

We talk about Tamil rights, truth, justice, and accountability and we work on these issues.

However, receiving this CTID summons is deeply worrying for me. I wish to live and work freely in my Country without fear.

A young Palestinian girl, Ward al-Sheikh Khalil, spoke to Al Jazeera after surviving an Israeli air attack on a school-turned-shelter in Gaza.

Video showed her walking among the flames of the fires. The attack killed over 36 Palestinians, including her mother and siblings.

This morning, around 100 Rohingya refugees were rescued off the coast of Mullivaikkal West in Mullaitivu. They were found aboard a boat in distress and are now receiving assistance from local authorities and fishermen organizations in Mullaitivu.
