Presenting AMBER - my award winning new short film that is now online. A contained thriller that’s my most ambitious film yet.
We worked really hard on it, and I hope you guys like it.
Do share it if you do :)

Sam Raimi was 20 when he made The Evil Dead
David Lynch was 25 when he made Eraserhead
So why are someone people (jealous, loser millennials) now pretending Kane Parsons (20) and Curry Barker (26) are too young to be, and incapable of, directing a film?
Advice to young filmmakers:
1. Screenplays are the currency of all film business, so work on your writing skills.
2. The film business is built to cycle you out. Work hard every day to give it a reason not to.
3. Make the movies only you can or would make. That’s your voice.
The beauty of short films is that they allow you to find your voice and discover ways to achieve your vision on such a low budget. Using Gen AI completely obliterates this important lesson.
Fascinating because even the worst creative mind doesn't struggle for at least raw ideas. Ideas are the cheapest easiest thing and this prick can't even write down one before he's second guessing himself. Tech bros do not belong in the world of stories!
This silly little parody skit is infinitely more creative, funny, worthwhile, and impressive than every piece of AI slop content that's ever been generated, or will ever be generated
I've said it before but it bears repeating:
If generative A.I. was capable of “revolutionizing” writing, art, film or music - it would’ve produced something of cultural value *already*.
Instead all its made is endless piles of derivative slop. It's a con. A big lie.
The lead singer of 3 Doors Down, Brad Arnold, passed away today at 47 after a long battle with kidney cancer. Rest in peace to an incredible performer.
It’s not “AI slop” because it looks horrible it’s slop because there’s no human creativity in it. Same reason tracing manga in elementary school didn’t make you an artist. It’s poor imitation masquerading as art, and it’s exhausting how many people can’t grasp that difference
Years later I still firmly believe that “Dark” would be a mainstream, unanimous top 5 show if it was natively English. One of my favorite shows of all time and a must watch if you haven’t seen (don’t be a dubbed be a subbed)
reminder for creative types:
to get to the work you're really proud of you have to write the bad song, make the ugly painting, write the mediocre story
perfection is the enemy, aversion to cringe is a limitation on your potential
People like this don't actually like movies, they just view them as an extension of their weird stan and anti-stan subcultures. It's diseased behavior.
