@CandyStripeNia Im not defending it but wouldnβt the same thing happen if it was at next yearβs Game Awards? It would end up overshadowing my favorite releases next year instead of this year and Idk, I canβt find it in myself to complain about something so inevitable.
@PersonthePerso2 I think it looks good but also the game just looked fun to play. I played the original recently this year on n64 and all it took to convince me was Link running and jumping around. Iβm excited
@notdarai I feel like they could be saving their guest character for console launch. With basically a whole new audience, that could be the main hook to get new players in.
Just speculation tho. Iβm also rooting for Mina now that game is GREAT
@Genderflipp@CONEY Crazy thing is that I saw him go to options and theres toggles for ledge trumping, rage, and tripping, and all other kinds of things that ARENT in smash 64 which seem fun to mess around with. But god forbid youre given a toggle for tap jump lol
@GenePark Something I noticed with that layout is that the sticks are raised as high as the left stick on an Xbox controller so I wonder if thatβll help with any comfort problems. Kinda reminds me of the WiiU Pro controller in a way
@PJiggles_@The_Hypist After I played it, I looked it up and sure enough it wasnβt. Kirby 64 is an amazing game but you can just tell its not a Sakurai game. And itβs made more clear after watching his vids on how he goes about making them. Sry for the long reply but I just thought this was interesting
@PJiggles_@The_Hypist I thought 64 was a Sakurai game for the longest time, but when I finally played it, I saw a lot of tiny nuances and details that maybe wouldnβt get past Sakurai if he was directing. From the menus, the UI, and just overall gameplay (it somehow feels slower than Adventure on NES).
@gsmVoiD I especially love the new fighter select theme. The demo and beta version sounded so basic and one note, which Iβm sure was intentional considering it wasnβt the final game, but now it feels fast paced and complete with more instruments.
