Soil fertility specialist for broadacre farmers/graziers. Focus on soil & crop fertility - nutrition/structural/biological as well as utilising precision ag.
Seeking expressions of interest from an experienced weeds agronomist, keen to expand their skills into helping farmers transition into a more sustainable farming system.
Based Toowoomba SEQLD.
@Lirola_Aussie@theGRDC @DAFQld Not sure yet. We have started measuring nutrient content of harvested grain but don’t yet have enough data to draw too many conclusions. Seems that plants are accessing enough P even though soil test numbers are low
🌾Two seasons of data is showing that wheat and chickpeas can be grown together as companion crops without incurring a yield penalty: https://t.co/qbvrF1IEr7

Really enjoying this foliar nitrogen course . Well worth signing up for anyone interested in using N more efficiently especially with the cost at the moment .
I like this quote.
"The brilliance of the stars would be invisible without the vast darkness of space behind them.
Do not wish away the difficult portions of life. They provide the contrast needed to appreciate the joyful moments."

Weeds Agronomist wanted.
Are you sick of killing things that want to live and keeping alive things that want to die?
This may be the change you've been looking for.
Expressions of interest welcome.
Welcome to share.
If you’re like most NNSW/SQLD farmers hoping to plant soon, you will be questioning starter fertiliser options/costs. Most FARM clients adapted their at-plant inputs to better support the soil biology that bring essential nutrients to the plant.

@brodenholland@CropscanagS 430kg/ha urea + a little bit of starting N and mineralisation gives you enough N to grow 7T/ha 11.5% protein wheat if my calcs are right.
@agrobaz May be worth playing with some boron inputs??
Could you add Solubor to fallow knock down sprays?
Or maybe some boron humates with the starter fert??
Did an assessment of Mice in Canola Stubble last night with my new thermal spotter. Very few Mice were observed in the headlights. This was baited 5 days ago with 1kg Bait.
