@JoshBoersen@farmerschneck Friend of mine breaks more Aulari/Yetter openers than he should in no-till, ends up having to buy complete replacement assemblies to have on hand. Deere's are easy enough to find used and parts availability is better (aftermarket too).
@14Ram What meters? Large rounds work the best in our vSets. Damn near 100% on some marbles out of a 62lb bag LOL.
Planted the plot yesterday and most sizes did pretty well with some vac adjustment. Think vSet is more forgiving than eSet though.
@Dungannon_Dan@AdamJPfeffer Having to tell it that there was in fact, a GPS receiver on the tractor even though it clearly had signal had us stumped for a bit last year. Looks like you need to re-add your lift switches?
@14Ram@Shawridgefarm can also apply some MCPA after wheat harvest Matt to clean up anything in the clover - will wilt it for a few days but it works well to clean it up. We've also gone away from spring herbicide unless something really needs it.
@FarmerChris13@k_lyons55 Alliance makes those kind of tires too Chris. Have a few VF Alliances around now since Michelin/Firestone started making tires out of gold. So far so good.
@Lyonseed@FieldwalkerAg@IH_farmer@farmerschneck Not necessarily combine related. Just residue load overall possibly preventing seed to soil contact in the spring after broadcasting seed compared to fields that had some tillage following the corn crop in the rotation.
@IH_farmer@Lyonseed@farmerschneck@FieldwalkerAg I'd agree with you on the tillage. Higher success rate after edible beans that had spring tillage or pulled vs no-till soybeans. Kind of wonder as well if something like a tine weeder might be enough to help ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@FieldAgronomy21@FieldwalkerAg Are you utilizing data from previous attempts at this? Deveron tried this several years ago (think Microsoft was involved). Didn't result in anything actionable. I've just been making my own scripts in Fieldview from imagery and ground truthing.
@AdamJPfeffer@SteveTwynstra Think we tried them too ๐ซค summer students might have to get comfortable with trailers ๐ฌ
If anyone needs a new business venture, buy some 450/550 chassis, put flatbeds on em and rent them to Ag retail please! Lol.
@AdamJPfeffer@keithschweitzer We're having the same problem. Both Reigling and Tatro bought out by MTO. No good options yet.. Enterprise said they had a 'flatbed'... Nope. Landscape dump truck. Surely Reigling wasn't the only place... But it seems like it.
