Retailer and processor of Certified seed. Full service, high quality seed of cereal, pulse, and soybean varieties. O/O Brent McCarthy P Ag. UofS Agro ‘95
@Crocus_Ag Do you have a handler to dissolve the dry before heading into tank? Found the simplicity go dri dissolved well. Everest will settle out in the jug. Need to shake well to get back into suspension.
Otherwise some other problem giving you the gooey mess. not a fun job to clean.
@JSeimes Bought a 30ft shulte couple years ago. Mow in fall. Firms it up pretty good. Light vertical tillage just before seeder comes in, seems to dry out enough to get through.
@shaunhaney Time to take a hard look at our future. Now is the time to reshape how cereal breeding looks in western Canada. Is now the time for farmers to take ownership of the path and control their own destiny?
@rhofford Yes it will run it. We had 55 ft 3310 with 6550 tank (2 fans). Need three headlands. Lifting shanks pulls fan rpms down so need to let seed/fert tubes clean out a bit before lifting.
Easier and better with a tractor that has dual pumps. We had 9400 tractor. Good unit.
@CarldeConinck@PattisonAg Incredible! Very good for one combine and its support crew. Never seem to get enough days here to do that. No harvesting here in August due to cool weather and later maturity of crop. Need 20-25 days with two 8250’s with 40 ft heads. Had 28 days without some kind of moisture.
@Honeybee_Brent Good job. Good to see a company rep sit in the buddy seat and give some helpful tips on how to run and set your equipment properly. Keep up the good work. Have bought 4 new pieces of equipment in as many years and have yet to see the sales person in the buddy seat.
@saskatchewan_in I think this is a great idea and great post. I attempted to have a SM conversation with my non farming friends. They didn’t really care what was happening only to say they didn’t want American milk because it was full of hormones. 🤷♂️. Hard to go forward
@stuartsmyth66 Stuart, have had a few conversations with non-farming friends that are unaware of our supply management system. The biggest concern raised was hormones in American produced milk. Any concern or quality difference in that respect?
