Bombardier Craig Hopson, aged 24 from Castleford, of 40th Regiment Royal Artillery (The Lowland Gunners) was killed by an IED blast whilst on vehicle patrol in the Babaji area of Helmand Province, Afghanistan

@DrRebeccaTidy Integrated Education whereby science , maths, english is taught through practical real life case studies. The case study method has a lot going for it. More interesting and Harvard Business School use it for good reason.
@2147mill Changing a Tyre, Wiring a Plug, Unblocking a drain, Cooking basic meals, Interest rates on loans, how to invest for savings and retirement. Identifying local birds, bees, animals, flora and fauna.
@leftsidehist Its good, a step in the right direction. But consider our pubs rateable value was doubled in the last year, now gone down by 20%. Every little helps when trying to survive. A straight % benefits very large businesses who can afford it more, much more than small ones.
@andrew_lilico I think a lot of the professional and managerial / admin jobs will be gone in 10 years. Industry too is very automated. Trades and caring professions may do better.
@Tim_Denning Interesting. I respect people who have created wealth and done well fairly and squarely, but they don't tend to be know or famous. Not sure I would count many of the famous in this e.g. being a water company boss or head of post office in this bracket.
@dannyoh337 So sad and sorry. The fact you miss him and talk about him does honour to his memory. Never forget, but I am sure he would wish you to be happy.
