"A technical argument by a trusted author, which is hard to check and looks similar to arguments known to be correct, is hardly ever checked in detail." - Voevodsky

"Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this Nature he's destroying is this God he's worshipping."
-- Hubert Reeves

@michael_nielsen I like that it implies a literal interpretation is the wrong way to read religious texts. Understanding wisdom requires a different mindset.
I think "Artificial Intelligence" may be a bad term for it.
"Artificial" intelligence implies it's not genuine.
As in, it's not X it's artificial X.
I think "Designed Intelligence" could be a better term for engineered machine AND biological intelligence.
@DavidDeutschOxf@lexfridman I was expecting the word "absolute" to be "relative" instead. With the idea being something like: every point in space has a relative light cone for its past and future.
What is meant by "absolute" here?
