@andrew_lilico This will lead to war with Denmark. Their whole economy is now based on kids taking too many energy drinks then having to take Wegovy to recover...
@andrew_lilico They certainly should not be allowed to suspend an MP because that is depriving voters of their choice. But a recall election allows the voters to make a new decision in the light of new evidence
@WalkerMarcus My girlfriend works as a home delivery driver for Tesco where almost all the drivers are male. In the stores almost all the cashiers are female. Sexual equality seems to say she should be paid less because those other women choose not to be drivers. That is crazy.
@WalkerMarcus I am a Protestant (or more particularly Old Catholic.) I accept sometimes a central authority can produce good stuff but in its very existence there is too much danger of bad stuff. That is why I reject Papal Infalibility and the Roman Magisterium. So I cannot accept this either
@andrew_lilico 1) improve the taper rate on Universal Credit - so there is more incentive for people on benefits to work more hours.
2) reverse the Employers NI change so that minimum wage before NI goes back up to say ยฃ12,000 - thereby encouraging companies to employ more single parents
@Elainebks@CharlotteA15906@WalkerMarcus Official feast days used by our brothers and sisters in Rome, but also (under the provisions of common worship) kept as the Patronal festival by certain CofE churches when the June date is not right for pastoral reasons.
@andrew_lilico@MrTCHarris If a particular group of MPs choose to sadel themselves with a weird way of selecting their leader it is up to them - though they might face problems in the inevitable hung parliament
@WalkerMarcus It is entirely appropriate for your setting Father. For less academic congregations it is difficult to understand. Congregations may love the mystic beauty of the language - but priests want their congregations to understand. In yours they would. In ours many would not.
