ذیشان ظہیر کا ناحق قتل نہ صرف ایک خاندان بلکہ پورے بلوچستان کے لیے صدمے کا باعث بنا ہے۔ ہر گھر غم میں ڈوبا ہوا ہے اور ہر دل افسردہ، یہ سانحہ صرف ایک فرد کا قتل نہیں، بلکہ انصاف، انسانیت اور امید کے قتل کی ایک المناک داستان ہے۔

ایک گھر جس کا سربراہ، ظہیر بلوچ، گزشتہ دس سالوں سے جبری گمشدگی کا شکار ہے، اُس گھر کا اکلوتا بیٹا ذیشان، جو اپنے باپ کی بازیابی کے لیے پرامن جدوجہد کر رہا تھا، اُسے بے دردی سے قتل کر دینا محض ایک جرم نہیں بلکہ پورے خاندان کو اجتماعی سزا سزا دینے کا تسلسل ہے۔ ذیشان کے اہلِ خانہ پر جو قیامت گزری ہے، وہ الفاظ سے بیان نہیں کی جا سکتی۔

جہاں ظلم، درندگی اور لاقانونیت کو ریاستی پشت پناہی حاصل ہو، وہاں انسانی زندگی کی کوئی وقعت نہیں رہتی۔ بلوچستان میں روزانہ کی بنیاد پر لاشیں ملتی ہیں، اور سوال یہ ہے کہ بلوچ کس کے در پر انصاف مانگنے جائیں؟ کس عدالت میں اپنا مقدمہ پیش کریں، جب ریاست ہی خود منصف بھی ہو اور ظالم بھی؟

جبری گمشدگیاں اور ماورائے عدالت قتل بلوچستان میں معمول بن چکے ہیں۔ ان سنگین جرائم پر نہ کوئی ریاستی ادارہ حرکت میں آتا ہے، نہ کوئی قانون حرکت میں آتا ہے، اور نہ ہی احتساب کا کوئی عمل نظر آتا ہے۔ اصل المیہ یہ ہے کہ اس صورتحال پر بے حسی طاری ہے، جو کہ ایک قوم کے لیے انتہائی خطرناک علامت ہے

At this moment, our peaceful sit-in in Quetta, Balochistan, is facing a brutal and unjustified crackdown by state security forces. Dozens of our companions, including women, have been arrested, and their whereabouts remain unknown. The security forces are resorting to indiscriminate firing and heavy tear gas shelling, creating a suffocating atmosphere that has severely affected the health of many peaceful protesters, including elderly individuals and children present at the demonstration.

Additionally, a complete communication blackout has been imposed in Quetta, with mobile networks and internet access deliberately cut off to prevent information from reaching the outside world. Security forces have also launched raids in nearby areas, arbitrarily arresting more activists and intimidating families.

This violent suppression of peaceful dissent is a blatant violation of fundamental human rights. I urge all advocates of justice, human rights organizations, and the international community to take immediate notice of this brutality and hold the responsible authorities accountable.

The targeted killing of Shah Jahan Baloch, a resident of Naal, Khuzdar district, Balochistan, constitutes a grave violation of fundamental human rights. Shah Jahan Baloch was killed by Pakistan’s intelligence agencies as part of an ongoing pattern of state repression. His family has long been subjected to enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings—his brother, Chairman Zahid Baloch, a prominent student political leader, was forcibly disappeared in Quetta in 2014 and remains missing to this day. Now, Shah Jahan Baloch himself has become the latest victim of what appears to be a systematic campaign of persecution against politically conscious Baloch individuals.

The frequent daylight assassinations and targeted killings of young Baloch activists by state security forces, intelligence agencies, and state-backed death squads reflect a deliberate policy aimed at silencing voices of resistance. These extrajudicial actions, carried out with impunity, highlight the escalating human rights crisis in Balochistan.

At the start of this year, numerous cases of torture and extrajudicial killings by state-backed militias were reported by local sources. However, the pattern of violence has intensified, increasingly targeting politically aware members of the Baloch community.

Pakistani law enforcement and paramilitary forces appear to be using enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and torture as tools of collective punishment, instilling fear and trauma within Baloch society. These acts aim to intimidate and suppress those who dare to speak out against state repression and human rights violations.

This systematic persecution of the Baloch people may amount to crimes against humanity and, in its scale and intent, raises concerns of a potential genocide. The targeting of Baloch youth and intellectuals is a direct violation of international human rights conventions, including those prohibiting enforced disappearances, extrajudicial executions, and torture.

We urgently call upon international human rights organizations, advocacy groups, and the global community to take immediate action against the Pakistani government and hold accountable those responsible for these egregious human rights abuses. The continued silence of the international community only enables further violations. It is imperative to demand justice and ensure the protection of fundamental human rights in Balochistan.
