@rwilks @NeilTempleman47 The reason I say this. Is I am Deaf myself. Profoundly Deaf…I went through times as a child AND as an adult hating my Deafness and I use BSL and spoke. English. I am a qualified teacher of the Deaf who has to battle through my career. She deserves to be taught the best of both.

@rwilks @NeilTempleman47 Are the ToDs doing anything to “big” up Deafness as a whole within the school? Eg BSL lessons or clubs, assemblies where they get Deaf adults who have succeeded in life and fit in the world they feel comfortable and confident in? Books about Deafness and role models scattered …
