Whilst we mourn the #Twitter bird, UK wildlife is in crisis. 38 million birds have vanished from our skies in the last 50 years.
But there is hope. Together, we can bring our world back to life.
The empty, vacuous rhetoric versus the reality.
Our bathing waters are cleaner than ever versus 57 world class athletes get sicks after sea swim.
You decide.
Artificial lawns should be banned. In the face of a biodiversity crisis, we should be creating habitats, not covering our gardens in ugly plastic where no life can exist. They're non-recyclable, dangerous to pets, the negative list goes on... please sign!!

My stepdad @ChrisGPackham has bared the brunt of obsessive bullies who’ve burnt down his gates, thrown dead animals into his garden + sent death threats. They spread lies and hate because he stands up for wildlife.
I stand by him wholeheartedly

Overnight Plymouth’s Conservative council chopped down nearly 100 trees in the city centre. It’s a scene of environmental devastation and utter council vandalism. I’m appalled at the actions of the Tory Council. Sad day for our city. #plymouth#ArmadaWay
And here's @SouthernWater's contribution to mankind this morning. More sewage being dumped onto more beaches polluting even more seas.
I note they are still refusing to publish their inland sewage dumping data.
"Exceptional situations"? Feel free to explain @SouthernWater.
Best graffiti we’ve seen in a while. #Banksy eat your heart out 😎
Please note - this is a temporary art installation🖼️, which will soon be replaced with a beautiful street tree🌳

Something missing🤔?
There's literally tens of thousands of miles of UK roadside where trees 🌳 could be planted. Some locations easier than others. The scale of the urban forest that could be created is immense. Let's create a national street forest.

Our planting of a fruiting hedge, oak and hazel trees at Milton Locks Nature Reserve on 18 February went very well. Supported by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Portsmouth, the Leader of PCC, Cllr for Climate Change Portsmouth, Hantsiwwildlife Trust & some 80 friends family.
Yet another neighbour asking for Artificial Grass installer recommendations. I'm still using my trusty graphic to change hearts and minds away from @Shitlawns and towards repairing soils and relaying a real one.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust has joined forces with nine other influential organisations to restore some of the Solent’s most imperilled marine habitats as part of a five-year partnership project 👇

How long until it's gone? Ways to #BeatPollution and take #climateaction:
🦀 Support beach clean-ups
♻️ Reduce. Reuse. Recycle
🌏 Avoid single-use plastic, and unnecessary or non-recyclable packaging
🌳 Celebrate special occasions with tree-planting not balloon releases
It's extreme-Brexit ideology that's behind this bill, and the Govt doesn't seem to care at all about the chaos and harm it will cause to business, workers, people's health or the environment
Until and unless it is withdrawn, the #AttackOnNature continues
