@Kass_theQueer @LilithLovett This law only applies to federal lawsuits. It wouldn't apply to state level lawsuits, which is where the vast majority of these would be. So unless the state they're in passes a similar law companies aren't going to want to risk it

@northernshrek @fagguin @tatemclisa An IP address is one of the least identifying things you can have. It's almost assuredly a VPN or a proxy server. And if it's not somehow then it's still almost useless because most modems don't have static addresses.
