We are dedicated to the discovery and development of novel antimicrobial drug candidates that will address the challenge of antimicrobial resistance (#AMR).

We also strongly condemn the rocket attacks on communities in Israel. We continue to oppose actions that contribute to a hardening of positions and diminish prospects for peace.
We strongly condemn the acts of violence against Palestinian worshipers in Al-Aqsa. The sanctity and status quo of holy sites must be respected.
On the eve of Passover and during Ramadan, we call for an end of violence immediately.
“Even the antibiotics that are approved in Canada are difficult for doctors to get a hold of.”

The panel discussed the urgent need for new antibiotics & the barriers leading to low access to lifesaving antibiotics in 🇨🇦. Major theme = breaking down silos: gov’t, industry & medical professionals working to ensure the right patient has the right treatment at the right time.
“There's an urgent need for novel antibiotics, antifungals and preventative vaccines, fast and inexpensive diagnostics, a coordinated surveillance system, a renewed focus on antibiotic stewardship programs…”
