British ports have spent £100m building facilities to handle the EU import customs checks due for introduction on 1 July. The government has just scrapped the plan, rendering the facilities useless. UKMPG and BPA are fuming mad.
@manairport would also like to say that although there may have been some aggressive customers, in the 2 hours I waited I actually found it remarkable how polite, friendly & understanding every customer was, despite literally being on the cusp of missing their flights.
@manairport needless to say that it was my worst airport experience. If I ever fly to Manchester again I will go through Liverpool Airport or some other alternative route. I will also relish telling everyone I know how bad MA is and recommending they use another airport. ✌️
@manairport@easyJet after my terrible experience at Manchester Airport, I then had the best flight I've had with EasyJet, despite the delays (Manchester-Geneva, 18:15, 1st April). Pilot/co-pilot(?) was very communicative and kind, and we made good time. So thanks for that! 😊
