I’m not sure those espousing a ban on marches protesting a genocide as a means of fighting anti-semitism have thought it through fully. Associating British Jews with Israel’s crimes isn’t going to make anyone safer. More likely the opposite. Stupid idea.
Stephen Kapos has attended every pro-Palestine march. He is Jewish and a survivor of the Holocaust.
“We get the warmest, most enthusiastic response from the marchers. They are happy family events, nothing to do with hatred at all. It is a slur.” 🎯
Can someone explain what’s wrong with Starmer saying yes, we knew Mandelson was a risk but thought it one worth taking because of his relationship with Trump? Everyone knew that and most people thought it also worth taking at the time.
Apart from the small matter of killing tens of thousands of people, their actions have now increased food and fuel prices for everyone else. Isn’t it time they were sanctioned?
Israel is a rogue state and our government should treat it as such.
Our Government should have suspended diplomatic and trade relations long ago but if not now, when?
It’s not a straight shot to the far side of the Moon! 🌕

Brexit has likely done more economic damage than feared.
Recent evidence suggests the economic cost of Brexit may be approaching twice the 4% impact assumed by the OBR.
The Chancellor has signalled a shift in approach to EU trade, but the effect will depend on how far the govt goes on alignement.
Catching up, as you do, with the Tour of Sardinia, remembering when the south were the poor of Europe, and marvelling on what better condition their roads are in than ours these days. Ho hum.
@AnnaJerzewska@pmdfoster True but the border and processes underpinning it have evolved over a long time. Top down imposition of a new system is pretty much a guaranteed recipe for disaster. Better for all with continued market led organic development.
Have written about the truth Starmer cannot say: he appointed Mandelson to the court of Trump not in spite of his relationship with Epstein but in a sense because of it, because of what it represented. Many congratulated him for it at the time. And are now pretending they didn’t.
I write about that hypocrisy. And one of my own.
