@Ashers_Oil@TheStaad The reason for demographic collapse is sin. Mothers foregoing home, all on contraceptives the Church denounces. Barely only the Church stands against contraception.
@Ashers_Oil@TheStaad No, it is objectively better and it says so. The Church has never said it to be sinful. It is only a pastoral choice and there are married priests as we talk that exist. And married men are serving as deacons too. They nearly all are. Islam has nothing to do with this.
@Ashers_Oil@TheStaad Ashers, even with celibacy of priests being a criteria since the 300s the catholic Church was the only church for centuries after, became the source of all other schismatic groups after, evangelized the world to become the largest religion « christianity ». So it did well.
@Ashers_Oil@TheStaad It is not explicitely said « only priests shall do it ». But you only see such doing it. And the Church from the start has been so with clergy, bishops, deacons and so on. You haven’t provided a single argument, neither logical, nor scriptural. I did.
@Ashers_Oil@TheStaad Keys of the kingdom in Matthew and also apostolic succession in acts. Not really man made. You can choose to be at odds with nearly all christians in history, the only Church being there since our Lord’s coming. Communion is not explicitely cited, but was always done by priests.
@Ashers_Oil@TheStaad Not really. We have married priests and deacons in the Church! With plenty of lay people serving in different things.
In the NT it says celibacy is good and objectively better. So it is preferable the priests are so even if not dogma! No contradiction here.
@Ashers_Oil@TheStaad A lot of it is rooted in the Church, which doctrines started right away and were formalized later, not in scripture itself. But with binding authority which is scriptural.
@Ashers_Oil@TheStaad 3. Yes, but there are also divine rules. He didn’t abolish the law, but fullfilled it. People died in the NT for lying or not respecting communion. Also, what rules sre you talking about? Jesus clearly stated how important communion was, so it being true matters.
@ExoFunc It is a sacracment, it is a path to sainthood and sanctification! Not a setback, even if full devotion to God’s kingdom may be objectively better, it isn’t a bad one. Most of the old testament saints were all married and not religious people, including the holy family.
@GavMcCracken People don’t know about math, and don’t care to understands it isn’t god nor human. It is a very complex optimizer. It is not functionning like a brain. It is the opposite of our nature. I have been almost yelling at people how it works like you said. It was obvious from the beg.
@BR_Opossum Please my brother do not use the word holy in a defiled manner. Our Lord deserves better than for us to use words meant for sacred things in profane and blasphemous ways. God bless you.
@TKJaros@EricTeetsel Original sin is not about individual guilt, it just means the effect of original sin is a disordered inclination towards sin, which children clearly have!
@escJB@WeBecomeTheIce It entails that morality is objectively rooted. Sin has a real cost. Then, how come one thinks morality is not objective if it is indeed so real? It is at the very fabric of who we are. How do you account for morality then? It is not as subjective as you suggested earlier!
