Male circumcision = removal of the prepuce.
Female circumcision = removal of the prepuce.

Both result in the permanent loss of healthy functional tissue and lessened sexual pleasure. One is (rightfully) considered a massive human rights violation, the other is socially accepted.

As for FGM being misogynistic, that is also incorrect. In the vast majority of cases, it is women that hold girls down and do the cut.
