Nobody has a monopoly for madness, till we descend to the 17th century and do it the Catholic way, maybe then you all will have sense.
Civility in this case, is overrated.
@GlobeEyeNews We do not accept insults to any of our beloved prophets from Adam to Noah, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad peace be upon them all.
Well done Saudi Arabia.
I’ve criticized and trolled figures like Premanand Maharaj and Neem Karoli Baba on my account plenty of times. People treat them as close to divine, yet nothing happened to me because India still has free speech and Hinduism doesn’t treat disagreement or even atheism as a crime.
If laws like the one in Saudi Arabia—where a deleted Facebook comment can get you the death penalty were brought to India, Muslims here would be the first ones screaming against them. We all know why. Plenty of secular Indians like me would reject them too, because killing someone over remarks that hurt religious feelings isn’t something any normal person sees as justice.
You guys keep talking about Islamophobia and demand the world speak up for Palestine. But when attackers openly say they did it for Islam against non-Muslims, the same people go quiet. The extremists and the problems that keep producing these attacks barely get called out from inside.
That silence is hard to miss.
Your prophet is not entitled to immunity from criticism. Your religion is not entitled to immunity from mockery. And your feelings do not give you the right to decide that another human being deserves to die.
Be offended. Argue back. Condemn the person. Walk away.
But there is absolutely nothing anyone can say about Islam or Muhammad that makes killing them justified. Nothing!
A dog used to follow pilgrims to a Hindu religious site in Sri Lanka, and videos of it were shared warmly in Sri Lankan Hindu circles.
In late June, offended by the videos, a Muslim man went to the pilgrimage site, located the dog, kicked it, and uploaded the video, sparking outrage. During one such argument, a Sri Lankan Muslim wrote a derogatory post against the Hindu deity.
Anojan Sivarasa, a Sri Lankan Hindu working as a laborer in Saudi Arabia, didn't like the comment and responded with a reply that was allegedly derogatory to the Prophet.
Anojan's well-wisher immediately warned him. He took down the comment and issued a video apology within five minutes in which he said he was responding to an insult to his faith. However, it was too late. Anojan's fellow Sri Lankan Muslims had already taken a screenshot and emailed it to his employer in Saudi Arabia. His employer promptly reported it to the authorities, who arrested Anojan and put him on trial. He has been sentenced to death.
Saudi Arabia rarely reverses a decision once it has made one, but there should be global outrage over this. Blasphemy laws or whatever, the man was only responding to an insult to his faith, deleted the comment, and issued an apology within minutes, yet he will still have to pay with his life while those who provoked him are rejoicing in Sri Lanka. This is unacceptable. Anyone calling themselves a free speech supporter and not opposing this is a hypocrite of the highest order.
*BREAKING*
*JARRETT TENEBE'S APC CARRIES OUT ITS THREAT TO SHOOT ADC MEMBERS IN IGUEBEN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA*
The Igueben Local Government Chairman has just led a team of gun totetting assailants to attack the entourage of Kenneth Imasuangbon and the Edo Central ADC Senatorial candidate, Hon Herbeta Okonofua. The hoodlum shot fatally at a young man, Jerry Oliha, from ADC ward 6, at the premises of the Enogie of Igueben. The young man has been rushed to the Irrua Specialist Hospital , where doctors are battling to save his life. This shooting is the third time the entourage was shot at today. First at ward 4, and then, at ward 5, of the Local Government Area.
Reports confirm that this is the climax of the series of violent attacks against ADC members and infrastructure that the APC has recently vowed Jarrett Tenebe's threat to unleash AK 47 on Edo people was after all premeditated. Attacks have been reported at Etsako East, Owan West and Owan East, before this one in Irrua. In each of the cases, they have been coordinated by the Local Government Chairmen of those places on the strength of Jarrett Tenebe.
Bullets have been recovered at the scene of the attack and handed over to the police and the Enogie. Canopies, chairs, musical instruments worth millions of naira were all destroyed at the palace premises.
ADC will come out with a comprehensive report on this unfortunate policy of violence of the APC shortly. The DPO of the Igueben Local Government Area has been informed and involved in the unfortunate incident.

Bruh! They’re killing people for fun in Bokkos, Mangu, Barkin Ladi and Riyom LGA’s. The hospital is filled up, it’s not even making the news anymore, it’s gradually becoming a norm… It’s just shocking how we got here, Kai!

I think this was my first introduction to the horror of jungle justice over false accusation.
The brutality and publicity over false allegations is probably what has made me swore against jungle justice.
