It doesn’t but it atleast shows his pedigree. With any manger you have to take past accolades to judge them that’s just how it works. We just need someone experienced and respected and that is Alonso. He will instantly have the respect of everyone in that dressing room and that is what we need.

Get Alonso no one else. I love Iraola but we are far too toxic at the moment for him a run of poor results and we will turn on him. Also serious questions on if his tactical approach can transfer to a team competing on all fronts which we aspire to do. Maybe next year when we have no Europe he can perform but after that I’d be worried.
