Why is it so hard for government to see that continued tax pressures does nothing but put people off wanting to invest or grow businesses in the UK. There is a balance needed & we should be looking to create growth not stifle it.

I invest a lot. Mainly into expanding British companies.

This creates new jobs, growth and increased revenues for the Government.

It is also risky. Even with decades of experience, it's tough to get the winners to outpace the losers.

If Government increases tax on investments (via Capital Gains Tax) and makes it more complicated and expensive to employ people, I will invest less in the UK and more elsewhere.

It's that simple.

Personally think pedestrianisation in urban areas is key, should be pushed but needs time. Locations need scrutinising by many stakeholders - built environment / real estate owners should be front and centre

@AvantiWestCoast Any update? I’ve had no email on tickets yet when checking it now says Saturday is fully sold out. What if passengers had essential commitments to get to? As a service provider your duty of care in providing essential travel is embarrassing.
