@ThePrimeagen C++ isn't the same language as it was (which can be a good thing), but re-using the same name sometimes makes it confusing. Thinking "I know C++", and after using a different language for a while, code of a "new C++ version" can look like a different language.

@home_assistant So after some time poking around, I find this weird for an internal system, like HomeAssistant, to require being "online". All icons in the integrations page are coming from "https://t.co/OYULQ4XXVk" instead of a local copy. Probably violates #GDPR

Is it just me, or are all these server-side rendering #NodeJS frameworks with re-hydration and stuff trying to reinvent the wheel? Why does it feel like #JSF so much, just with a bit more #javascript/#typescript voodoo?

@mthie @matrixdotorg Uh, interesting! I already thought about the problems with "user enclaves" these big git-hosters seem to be. Even tho you can login with a different "idendity source", real collaboration should emerge with federated git. 💪

@thebookisclosed Windows 95 and Windows 98 already had something called "Active Desktop" (https://t.co/BGwbklLToH), Windows Vista had its Widgets ... why on earth is a feature, that got removed long time ago, now celebrated as some kind of "genius idea"?
