@RichCoo94433360@BellaWallerstei@Telegraph A capmaign which demonstrated the entitlement of these parents - Each place not taken up as a result of a sputious application still incurs an admin cost to cash strapped local authorities.
@VanBalasundaram@BellaWallerstei@Telegraph Well said. These entitled parents couldn't care less about the administration cost to cash strapped local authorities processing these spurious applications.
@thatginamiller Am aware of a group elsewhere: parents applying for most popular local state only with no intention of leaving current private school in order to publicise their rejection letter. With no thought to the cost to LA's of admistering spurious applications.
@NJ_Timothy Ahhh, the Conservatives who obviously did contemplate an impact assessment when taking a further £5m from Frank Hester (he who said D.A made him hate all black women) & decided to take it anyway.
@sam_lister_ Those in care who self fund (anyone with a home, however modest) pays a premium of 40% to subsidise those in Council funded beds.
How on earth is this fair in anyone's book - who asks for dementia?
For Labour to scrap it = betrayal.
@FraserNelson It's the binning of the social care cap which was due to come into effect in October which will hit pensioners harder. For those affected they'll now lose everything paying a premium of 40% on care fees to subsidise those in govt funded beds.
@RhonddaBryant Try having to sell all his assets including his home to fund care which includes a premium of 40% to subsidise others in council funded beds.
Come on @RhonddaBryant - this is the reality of your constituents in Alzheimers care - try speaking up for them.
V dissapointing from you
@StuartAndrew Pipe down - some reflection on who has decimated the farming industry over the past 14 years is need but oh no...not from a Tory MP
So full of arrogant self superiority there's no room left for integrity.
@BenJLTaylor Of course he does, unfortunately he's never let truth or integrity guide his tweets.
Its a long haul Ben but stay with it. You smashed his once safe majority - next time.
@SteveBarclay Tories pledged everything in a desperate attempt to stay in power with the offshoot that you can then say Labour didn't match your pledges.
But we saw you, it was pie in the sky.
You have form: 40 new hospitals, social care reform anyone?
@LindaAizlewood@Steven_Swinford@Smyth_Chris Not a Johnson fan but he put in
process the Dilnot Reforms on social care & 1p on NI to fund it.
Truss cancelled the 1p on NI
Sunak cancelled the reforms (he announced as Chancellor)
This is on Truss & Sunak.
A shocking new report has found Boris Johnson’s “oven ready” Brexit deal (championed by Rishi Sunak) has caused the small boats crisis in English Channel
It’s getting very little media attention so let’s put that right!
Thoughts with @TomTugendhat this evening as he is suffering chronic amnesia. This was the policy of the Conservative Govt he served in just over a week ago. This is his Govts legacy (they released 10K on earlier early release) & it’s their mess which #Labour is dealing with.
I hope he makes a swift recovery - he used to be a decent Tory
More dreadful reporting from #bbcnews
Tom Tugendhat is quoted criticising Labour for plans to release up to 20,000 prisoners.
At no point do they report that the Tories have already released over 10,000.
Clive Myrie, you and your colleagues are an absolute disgrace.
A world where the decisions taken be the Government that was in power until a week ago made this inevitable. And everyone knows it. So what is the point of this ridiculous attack.
